Erkki is taking the DP 27 out for a walk, it's been awhile. He carries it himself on his back when he's skiing for the best position to ambush some russkies. The trail of them has been found earlier and now it's just a matter of luring them to move past here.
Niko limps behind Erkki on skis and says, "Looks like I'm Vesa for today." He shakes his head and says, "Hopefully I don't get Vesa's luck." He stops and says, "Here looks good." Pulls out an entrenching tool and begins digging.
"Yeah, don't jinx it already," Erkki grunts at Niko, giving the man a bit of a grin as he begins setting up the machine gun. He glances back to see if Marko'll return from his trail-making.
Kalevi as soon as Niko finishes the hole he jumps in and starts to set up his Mg.
Marko slides with his skiis from southern path, he nods his head to Erkki, as he approaches, he lies down on the foxhole as he gets closer, "I hope this will help." he says and gets ready to use his weapon.
Niko scrapes some snow in front of him in an effort to further conceal himself. As though that will do any good. He calls to Marko, "Which way will they be coming from? Where did you have the trail lead?"
Marko hmms and turns to Niko as he calls for him, "At South of here. They will probably come east to west." he smiles, "Keep your eyes open."
Kalevi works the snow around until he has a firm base for the tripod, then he works the action a few times and loads the gun.
Kalevi sits ready, eyes scanning the grassy area to the south.
Erkki gets it all set up and ready and he lies down into the foxhole, peering southwards in anticipation.
Niko mutters to Erkki, "According to Luukas, Topi bought it yesterday. Just in case you didn't know." He sighs, "This won't be like the river… he won't be here to watch our backs and get shot up too, eh?"
Kalevi eases the safety off in anticipation.
Erkki glances over at Niko. He didn't know about Topi and his expression suggests he's not about to start crying. It's the expression of someone who's decided that mourning is a waste of time.
Kalevi points with his chin, "I hope you set a good trail for our commades."
Erkki wipes his nose off of some ice that has been forming of some snot or perspiration. The glittering crystals falls down into the snow. He shifts position, trying to ignore the cold, gaze shifting back and forth along the trail a bit to the south, searching for movement.
Kalevi tightens his grip on the gun.

Erkki spots a Russian and holds his hand up for them to wait a bit.

Marko notices the Pyotr is leading the russians, he grins and takes aim at the russian, he opens fire, one bullet that tears the chest of the russian. He takes aim at the dog.

Borya may be in cover now but snowdrifts aren't all that good cover. Bullets pass through the snow, through himself, and out the other side. Ouch.
Erkki lets that machinegun loose and has soon enough wounded several and killed one Russian. He checks his ammo but got some left so continues on with his grim task.

And then the MG jams on Erkki. "Perkele."

And… he is now also out of ammunition so gets started on that with frantic motions. Erkki's not even noticed that the russians are all dead now.

Marko raises his rifle again at the russian that crawls, he takes aim, he holds his breath and pulls out the trigger, the bullet flies at air and hits the chest of the russian, he shakes his head, "One fled." he sighs.
Niko glances south and says to Erkki, "One got away… not bad. Wonder if there will be more coming, or if we can go down there and recoup some of our spent ammo."

Kalevi raies up a bit, "Lets loot and get the hell out."
Kalevi ducks as the rifle sounds and he grips the gun and reaims.

Marko Raises an eyebrow as he hears a rifle shot, he turns to west, "Damn russians. They must have found the camp, lets go."
Erkki wipes his nose again in a slow gesture. "One got away?" he says, not sounding too happy. "Could go get him…." He is cut off as the rifle sounds and he grimaces, beginning to get the MG.
Dog4 has left.

Kalevi "He's moving further south."
Erkki rolls his eyes. "I'll go look," he declares. "I'm leaving the MG as it'll slow me down. I'll be back."

Marko nods his head to erkki, "I am coming too."
Kalevi shouts, "He shouldn't go alone!"
Erkki eyes Marko. "Can you move quietly?" he asks dubiously. "I mean, really quietly?"

«Equipment» Erkki has dropped DP 27.
Marko nods his head to Erkki, he crawls down and starts to crawl south
Erkki shakes his head. "Never mind. I am going alone. Two will only be more noticeable. So just stay here."
Niko says to Erkki, "You crazy bastard. Sounds like he's shooting blind. Scream if you get hit or something." To Marko, he says, "Sit tight in your foxhole."

Kalevi double checks his gun and resets the bipod making ready if they get flanked.
Marko nods his head and sighs, "Be careful Erkki. And dont stay at cold too much." he says.
«Ground Combat» Marko moves into Foxhole.
Kalevi takes his time to count his ammo.

«Ground Combat» Niko reloads his SVT-38!
Kalevi shakes his head, "48 rounds left.. just two clips"
«Game» Erkki wields his Tokarev TT-33!
Kalevi sets the clips within easy reach and lies back down sighting down the gun to the south.
Marko sighs, "I think we should leave him to wolves or cold. He cant survive. He should have some bad wounds, lets leave him to nature."
Kalevi points out into the grassy area, "We need to collect the ammo off these bastards while we have a chance."
Niko says, "Stay where you are. Erkki's already headed in that direction."

Marko nods his head, "Erkki will probably do it as he returns back."
Kalevi nods, "I'm not going anywhere. Look there he comes now."
Kalevi scans the area to provide cover fire if need be.
Erkki skis quietly southwards, staying in the shadows and protection of trees and bushes. He checks the corpses but doesn't take any of the items right now, focusing instead on what lies south of where he is.
Erkki doesn't see anyone to the south and he looks back north and gestures that there's nobody in sight. He then bends down and starts looting the corpses, making another gesture, suggesting someone should come help.

Niko drags himself out of the foxhole and says, "I'm going to lend Erkki a hand. Remember there's still a machine gun in this foxhole in case something happens. Try not to leave it, eh?" He begins creeping southwards.

Kalevi confides in Marko, "I think the bastard is long gone."

Niko limps in and skis to the closest corpse. He crouches down and begins gathering up as many stripper clips and SVT magazines as he can.
Erkki is carrying as much as he can get away with and there's still some more to take. But he's making his way back to the north now.

Kalevi asks as he keeps an eye to the south, "You all ready to go before his friends come back?"

"Still some ammo out there," Niko says to Kalevi. He slides into his foxhole and helps Erkki pack up.
Erkki crawls back into the foxhole and reaches for the machine gun. "Yeah," he grunts, "best get going before a whole cadre of them arrive. But one of you get that ammo on the way."

Kalevi keeps his weapon deployed until everyone else os ready to move.

Marko hmms, and looks around at north, "I cant see anything at north." he says.
Niko kicks the corpse of the dog aside and says, "I'm carrying all I can. Let's get back to camp."

«Ground Combat» Erkki moves out of Foxhole.
Kalevi packs up the ammo clips and readies his gun to leave.
Kalevi calls out, There he is!"
Niko mutters, "Who?"
Kalevi points at the Russian moving in the grass.
Niko doesn't appear to be looking that way.

Kalevi points south, "there, over there" tries to ready his MG
Niko calls, "Is that the same one that got away?"
Erkki is kind of not hurrying, annoyingly so. But eventually he gets his ass in gear and starts moving westwards, back to camp. "Make sure to not leave tracks," he says, stating the obvious.
