From Mason

Dear Mother
I appologize for my breiefness, but I have little time to write before I return to the front. London has been a wonderful time and a pleasent time away from the line. Do not fear mother, for they will be placing me as a General's aide where it will be safe. I know how much you and the family worry about me being on the line. Fear not for this will not happen. You may go to bed tonight knowing your son will be one of the most safest places in France. I have just beent old my Sergeant is looking for me, so I will have to stop here.

Your loving son,
