Thompson
Comrade Micah Thompson
Born: July 9, 1917
Died: February 6, 1937
Comrade Micah Thompson perished bravely in the line of duty, following the desperate defense of La Maranosa from the Nationalist attackers who wanted to cut the main supply road to Madrid. After expending all his rounds, he awaited the enemy charge that would almost annihilate his unit as they bravely defended the hill to prevent the supply road from being cut off. As the enemy began overrunning the unit's position, Micah was first to engage the enemy but succumbed to repeated bayonet wounds and died gloriously in the field of battle.
