Background: Jerome Copelo was born in Paris, France. He was the only child to his father, a successful Merchant, Nathan Copelo. His mother was also very much involved in his father's work so Jerome was raised primarily by his family's nanny. At an early age Jerome had shown a great interest in medicine. When he was 12 and was treated for a stomach illness, he grew fond of the hospital setting and the interest of those who worked in the facility to want to help people.

When Jerome was 16 he was taken under the wing of one of his family's best friends, Doctor Howard, and studied under him for years. His journey into the medical field was not done in a classroom, but rather by an internship and hands on training. He spent the next six years of his life working for Doctor Howard until he was deemed worthy to take a job in a small Hospital outside of Paris. He had spent the next three years of his life working to help people in the Hospital. With a strong ambition to wanting to help people, mainly his own, he went out to search for others who may need his help on the battlefield. He sought out to find La Resistance and to help out in any way he can, hoping his years of medical practice can come to good use.
