Re: NORTH MANCHESTER PROPERTY MANAGMENT
COLLECTIONS

Dear Mr Masters:
This is your final reminder that your account of $1135.00 is past due. It has been past due since 1 December, 1914. If payment is not received by 1 June, 1915, we will have no alternative but to turn your account over to a lawyer for collection. Failure to make payment of the $1135.00 by due day could result in repossesion of your property.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
James Tooley

Dead James Tooley,
I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that at some point in the past year while you have woken up from your warm bed, and enjoy your breakfast over a nice cup of coffee you have opened up and read your news paper to about the war. Incase you have been living under a rock, the Great War is upon us. Unlike the people in your office, I have decided to do my part for King and Country and I am now currently serving in the war. If you want to see your money, please send your lawyer to visit me at Gallipoli. He can find me living in the third shell hole east of the 29th Division aid station. You've gone to far if you see the mortuary.

Sincerely,
Adam Masters
