(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts takes off, and begins climbing. After getting his vector from the ground station, he blinks. "Long flight. Is anybody else up here with me?" he asks, a bit plaintively, as he can't see anything.
(From (#662) Hurricane Mk2) Wozniak takes off as well, and slowly changes heading after a moment of confusion, static making him hear the destination as being considerably more westward and distant than it should be. "Bogu here. I can see you."
(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts breathes a sigh of relief into the comm. "Thank gawd for that. Its a long way, I'm going to enjoy the flight.". And then he goes to peering out the canopy at the blue sky above and white fluffy clouds down below.

(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts pulls up the nose of the Hurricane very slightly, and his aircraft drifts upwards towards the deep blue sky. Meanwhile he gazes out of the window, daydreaming, but the daydreams are shattered by Polish voices in his earpiece. "Copy that.".
(From (#662) Hurricane Mk2) Wozniak levels off after a rather steep climb that puts him ahead of the speck on the horizon ahead, and waits a while, the plane cutting through the sky at full speed to close the distance and tighten formation with the lead.
(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts finally levels out. "I'm at angels 15, under 20 miles from Able." he says. Daydreaming he may be, but he does have half an eye on the gauges.
(From (#662) Hurricane Mk2) Wozniak climbs gently to level with the lead and radios back after a pause, "I'm right behind you, closing to about 500 yards."
(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts glances around, craning his neck, and spots the Hurricane, now pretty close. "I see you. I'll slow down a bit, if you want to nudge closer.". Formation flying being fun and all.

(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts then gets the RTB order. "Just as well, I think I've had enough excitement for one day." he says, peering at the nose of his Hurricane, which trails vapour.
(From (#662) Hurricane Mk2) Wozniak circles slowly around the convoy. "I've got engine problems. Ammo's good. And I've been hit… once or twice. I would enjoy having a doctor look at my hand now. Making a bit of a mess here." he states flatly, then banks slowly around towards land.

Keep talking so that we know you're not about to do something daft like pass out from blood loss." He squints over at Watt's plane. "Nonsense. You'll make it back just fine."

(From (#663) Hurricane Mk2) Watts draws slowly nearer, and looks down at the coast. "Well, its not far to swim if I do end up in the drink, I guess." he says, optimistically. He goes back to daydreaming at the clouds. It helps calm his nerves, as he's trembling a bit after his brush with the Stuka tailgunner.
